Tittle: (RN Emergency Department) Location: St louis park, MN Job Type: 13 weeks Proposed Hours: 12*3 Evening\Nights (36 hours) Gross pay Weekly: $2105 Job Description: We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing rapid and compassionate care to patients in urgent situations. This position requires quick thinking, strong assessment skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality emergency care. Responsibilities: Assessment and Triage:
- Conduct rapid and comprehensive assessments of patients in the emergency department.
- Prioritize and triage patients based on the severity of their conditions.
Emergency Interventions: - Administer immediate and appropriate medical interventions for patients in critical condition.
- Perform advanced nursing procedures and treatments as required.
Patient Stabilization: - Collaborate with the healthcare team to stabilize patients and manage emergent medical conditions.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and initiate interventions to ensure patient stability.
Communication and Collaboration: - Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to gather relevant information and provide updates.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
Emergency Procedures: - Participate in and assist with emergency procedures such as resuscitation, trauma care, and other critical interventions.
- Maintain proficiency in emergency protocols and stay updated on the latest advancements in emergency nursing.
Patient Advocacy: - Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed during the emergency care process.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during stressful situations.
Documentation: - Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatments in electronic health records (EHR).
Continuing Education: - Stay current with advancements in emergency nursing through ongoing education and professional development.
- Attend relevant workshops, training sessions, and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications: - Current and valid RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Emergency Nursing Certification (CEN) is a plus.
- Previous experience in emergency nursing or a related critical care setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
