Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Correctional Health

Position Summary

Our mid-level providers are part of a large onsite interdisciplinary team composted of Medical, Psychiatric, Dental and Radiology. This is a fast-paced clinic environment that offers both chronic and acute care. We offer excellent pay and incentives!

Experience/Educational Requirements

Physician Assistant:

Successful Completion of an educational program for physician assistants or surgeon assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or by that committee’s predecessor or successor entities is required.


Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is required. Must be currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas.

Nurse Practitioner:

A Registered Professional Nurse who is prepared for advanced nursing practice by virtue of knowledge and skills obtained through an accredited post basic or advanced educational program of study acceptable to the Board of Nurse Examiners. A Master’s degree in nursing is preferred. Three years of nursing experience is required and two years of advanced practice is preferred. Certification by a national nursing body is recommended. Current CPR Healthcare Provider card or higher required per Medical-Dental Staff Bylaws.


Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas and credentialed by the State to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Prescriptive authority is recommended.
