Records and Program Coordinator, Zhejiang-UIUC Institute
The Grainger College of Engineering

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide coordination and support benefiting students enrolled in the Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (ZJUI) through The Grainger College of Engineering. This person provides central coordination of academic administrative aspects of the ZJUI program through the Undergraduate Programs Office.

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in business, communication, education, humanities, public relations, social sciences, or a field related to the position.
Two (2) years of professional work experience in admissions, records, registration, and/or closely related experience within an educational setting.
Demonstrated experience working with diverse student populations.
Demonstrated experience with programmatic development, implementation, and/or management.



Preferred Qualifications


Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, college student personnel, education, global studies, cultural studies, international affairs, engineering, or closely related field.
Two years of professional experience working in student records in higher education.
Experience working with international students in higher education.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues, students, faculty, and staff in higher education.
Exceptional time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional ability to focus on details and specific information.
Ability working effectively both independently and in collaborative groups.
Ability to respond to concerns, motivations, and learning patterns of undergraduate students.
Solid understanding of Windows-based applications, particularly database applications (e.g., Microsoft Access) and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
Ability to learn and utilize student information and records systems such as Banner, UAchieve, and the UIUC Undergraduate Records system.
Exceptional ability to focus on details and specific information.
Knowledge of best practices in academic advising and student enrichment programs.
Excellent assessment, data collection, analysis, and report writing skills.
Skill in use of UAchieve and Banner Student Systems, knowledge of UIUC curriculum, programs, and policies, of campus resources, contacts, and offices that provide assistance/support services for undergraduate students.
Understanding of University of Illinois policies and procedures.



Appointment Information


This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 2753 - Admissions and Records Associate position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the closing date. The minimum salary is $50,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Work authorization is not available for this position
