Job description

We are looking for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Fire Protection Engineering, as well as experience with AutoCAD, NFPA, HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK, and Hydraulic calculations, and NICET certifications. The Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining safety systems for fire and other emergency situations.

Position Overview: The Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining safety systems for fire and other emergency situations. They will also analyze and provide professional consultation for fire protection systems, plan, coordinate, and design fire protection systems, and monitor the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems. Additionally, the Fire Protection Engineer will provide support to other engineers and design staff, and ensure that projects meet all applicable standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and maintaining safety systems for fire and other emergency situations.
• Analyzing and providing professional consultation for fire protection systems.
• Planning, coordinating, and designing fire protection systems.
• Monitoring the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems.
• Providing support to other engineers and design staff.
• Ensuring that projects meet all applicable standards and codes.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Fire Protection Engineering.
• Need to be a licensable Journeyman installer.
• Experience with AutoCAD, NFPA, HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK, and Hydraulic calculations.
• NICET certifications.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to fire protection.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
