Job description
A longtime client of Kforce is looking for a Tax Analyst to join their team! Candidates can be fully remote but must be a great communicator and have had success working in remote roles before.
Responsibilities:
- Tax Analyst will prepare journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, reconcile differences and be concise in articulating the drivers for any significant variations
- Interact with customers and suppliers, etc., to address and respond to excise tax inquiries
- Assist with analysis and research of federal and state excise tax matters
- As a Tax Analyst, you will support & prepare fuel tax related internal control (SOX) compliance
- Attend and participate in weekly meeting 1x week or as needed
- Assist with close process and meet deadlines as required
