Job description
The Procurement Director will oversee all aspects of sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, and inventory management for Rise Brands. This role will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to ensure the highest quality products are sourced at the best possible prices, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and optimizing inventory levels to support operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet the procurement needs for each brand and the Rise Home Office.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors, negotiate contracts and terms, and establish partnerships that align with the company's quality standards and cost objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, and vendor selection.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, and the leadership team at Rise Home Office to identify current and future needs.
- Continuously monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement effectiveness, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory turnover.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and streamline procurement operations.
- Implement inventory management best practices to ensure smooth new store openings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies related to sourcing, procurement, and vendor management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management preferably within the hospitality or retail industries.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers/vendors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in procurement software/tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-procurement platforms) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of food and beverage products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
