Role Overview:

The Vice President of Business Development will be a key driver of growth, working closely with the Senior Vice President to enhance our presence in core markets such as refining, petrochemicals, mining, chemicals, power, and electrification. This role involves building strong customer relationships, spotting market trends, and crafting strategic business models to capitalize on opportunities. A focus on innovation and world-class operations will be crucial in achieving our objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a strategic business development plan that aligns with the company's vision and growth objectives.
Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
Forge and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and investors.
Lead negotiations and secure strategic partnerships and agreements that enhance our market position.
Work collaboratively with Marketing, Product Development, and Finance teams to ensure integrated business development efforts.
Stay abreast of industry trends and customer needs to guide strategic planning and decision-making.
Create and present compelling presentations and proposals to engage potential clients and partners.
Support the Sales team with strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth.
Lead and mentor the business development team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Over 12 years of experience in business development within the Energy & Utilities or Engineering Services sectors, with a strong focus on the Boston and Northeast markets.
Demonstrated leadership in sales with hands-on experience in project management and client interactions.
Proven track record in strategic planning, marketing, and managing complex projects and deals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
Proficiency in standard office software, with a preference for Google Suite.
Commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
Fluency in additional languages (French and/or Spanish) is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet project, site, or customer needs.
