Responsibilities - The Infection Prevention ist Nurse is responsible for working with senior leadership to determine the hospital's infection control and prevention initiatives, including priorities and implementation plans.
- The I nfection Preventionist Nurse is a key figure in educating, advising, and coordinating infection prevention practices in relation to the PSH Mission and Vision.
- The I nfection Preventionist Nurse also has the responsibility for developing policies governing control of infections and communicable diseases .
- Duties include implementing policies governing control of infections and communicable diseases and also developing a system for identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases.
- The Infection Preventionist Nurse works collaboratively as part of the health system team by living the PSH Mission and Vision.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
- Current Texas RN or LVN license
- Basic Life Support Certification
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 5 years nursing experience, 2 years in infection prevention
- Experience working with CMS Regulations, DNV , TJC and OSHA Standards
