Position: Sr. Data Engineer (only W2 candidate)
Location: Hybrid: The Woodlands, TX --- Hybrid Onsite
Duration: Long Term Contract
**Part time 20 hours with potential to move into full time 40 hours
**Position is onsite will discuss further during KOC
**Interview will be with the team - preferably in person
Data Engineer - Expert
Key Candidate Attributes
o Strong background and experience with:
o Writing SQL and working with and querying cloud-based data stores like Snowflake
o Working in the Microsoft Power platform
o Building and maintaining visualizations using Power BI, including using PowerQuery, writing DAX, and writing PowerQuery M functions
o Developing and supporting PowerApps
o Performing basic statistical analysis
o UI / UX experience
o Apply design best practices to visualizations
o Working in the Azure cloud environment
o Using Databricks to perform data processing / curation / contextualization
o Working in other visual analytics / BI tools like Spotfire and Tableau
o Developing and designing websites (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
o Familiarity with oil & gas concepts; experience working in O&G domain a plus
o Self-motivated and practical solution seeker
o Willingness to build on and support existing work products, while having the ability to identify and propose process improvements / efficiencies
UI/UX & Development
o Redesign of PO KPI visualizations / map to new data products
o Redesign of Angola KPI visualizations / map to new data products
Data product hardening, distribution, and "marketing"
o Review PBI / Spotfire dashboards across assets for commonalities to identify common calculations to include within data product
o Document common practices across assets
o Work with PBI teams to update PBI data flows to point to new data products
Support the creation and maintenance of other PO PowerBI dashboards and dataflows
Manage interface with production data squad, test production data products, and field enhancement requests
Support and maintain deployed PowerApps POOL++, Maturity Assessment, etc
Support and maintain PO Portal
