Are you passionate about information technology and ready to join a high energy, collaborative team? The Almond Board of California is searching for a key member for our IT team. The role of the Help Desk Specialist is to provide exceptional front line technical support and resolution to basic computer, application, systems, device, access, and technical problems for users within our organization both in person and remotely. This is a non-exempt position with a hybrid work schedule including a few days in person per week at our headquarters in Modesto, CA.
What you'll be doing : - Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to user and stakeholder issues
- Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support
- Track, route and redirect problems to correct resources
- Update user data and produce activity reports
- Advises users on the methods, steps, and actions to resolve and avoid future issues in a patient and informative manner
- Follow up with users, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
- Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed service expectations
- Ensure proper recording, documentation, and closure of system tickets
- Recommended procedure modifications or improvements
- Preserve and grow your knowledge of help desk procedures, products and services
Our ideal candidate requirements: - An associate degree in information technology, computer science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years in the IT field
- Microsoft Windows Certification
- Knowledge of Microsoft and Apple operating systems
- A strong desire to grow your knowledge and skillset
