Senior CMM Programmer- Metrologist Responsibilities:
Developing/creating measurement capabilities, executable equipment/ machine programs, Standards & Methods in support of Quality & Engineering projects that transfer over to production.
Ownership over the metrology lab
Making recommendations for the selection of measurement methods to be applied to meet requirements
Gathering dimensional data using a variety of measurement devices and equipment.
Perform (MSA) Gauge R&R studies in support of measurement plans, validation activity
Making on-site recommendations with regard to equipment measurement devices e.g. preventative maintenance, service contracts. Assist with evaluation of vendors to ensure the proper quality and service is maintained.
Performing corrective action/maintenance and/or supervising of the lab equipment and measurement devices
Generating technical reports as needed in support of Quality & Engineering Teams
Senior CMM Programmer- Metrologist Requirements:
Proficient in developing and troubleshooting CMM- Zeiss a plus
Strong competence in blueprint reading and GD&T
Understanding of mathematical principles
