Job description

This position will support Hospital Based Nurse Manager Vacancies to backfill during the absence of a permanent leader on-site. In the case that an assignment is too far in distance, a hybrid remote option may be available. The Nursing Manager Relief Staffing Program is designed to create an alternative manager staffing option to provide department and site relief by temporarily filling registered nurse managers into vacant positions until they are filled. It is designed to maximize its attractiveness by providing the opportunity to work in multiple departments over time to share best practices, proven results, and engagement with those sites in need. The assignments will be approximately 4 weeks to 16 weeks in length. Assignments will reflect the manager's assigned specialties, expertise, and site/department need. However, are not limited to previous experience in skillset. If an assignment is needed in an area that is unfamiliar, site-specific department support will be provided by the site to partner with clinical components as applicable.

Responsible for the practice of professional nursing and the delivery of nursing care. Establishes clinical direction for nursing care delivery, provides clinical supervision and is responsible for quality outcomes. Responsible for attaining and maintaining adherence to regulatory standards. Coordinates unit operations with other departments and disciplines to provide effective, efficient, and compassionate patient care.

Major Responsibilities:

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required: Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices and certification in specialty within 1 year of eligibility.

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Nursing.

Experience Required: Typically requires 5 years of experience in nursing that includes experiences in multiple areas. Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in managing a staff and budgets in a nursing environment at the supervisory/management level.
