Responsibilities
Valle Vista Health System operates Opioid Treatment Programs in both Johnson and Marion County. Our Opioid Treatment Programs are accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the Board of Pharmacy, DEA, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Association (SAMHSA), and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA). Opioid Treatment Programs are licensed to dispense opioid treatment medications and provide a range of medical and rehabilitative services to adults diagnosed with Opioid Use Disorder. The Program Physician works under the direction of the Medical Director and is responsible for providing medical services to patients enrolled in the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). The Program Physician is part of an interdisciplinary team that includes nursing and clinical staff. Primary responsibilities include initial assessments, history and physical examinations, medication adjustments, and annual evaluations. The Program Physician is also responsible for determining a patient's readiness to discontinue treatment medication as well as readiness for self-administered medication. Valle Vista Health System , is a 132-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful community of Greenwood, IN. Valle Vista Health System features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.
