This role is crucial in ensuring that the UA Foundation's supporters feel appreciated and connected to the impact of their philanthropy.
The Donor Relations Coordinator serves as the resident expert on several software platforms that are critical in the support of donor relations efforts across the UA System. The coordinator also manages a comprehensive and strategic plan for the donor relations and stewardship program. This program aims to foster and nurture long-term, meaningful relationships with donors while illustrating the impact of their investments on the University of Alaska and our state. Responsibilities include writing and coordinating e-communications, and presidential acknowledgments, preparing annual stewardship reports for endowed and current restricted funds, planning and implementing donor recognition events, and assisting development officers with establishing and coordinating individualized stewardship plans for major donors.
Collaboration with partners throughout the University of Alaska is essential, and we have high expectations for teamwork in implementing stewardship activities. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, business, marketing, or a related field and a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a nonprofit setting or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details: This position can be located in either Anchorage or Fairbanks, Alaska, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and a full employee benefits package . New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule , Grade 79, based on education and experience.
