The Manager Care Access is primarily responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and controlling all access functions. This position is responsible for management of the staff and systems across multiple sites that will assure patient and provider friendly access to ProHealth Care system services and patient care. This includes, but is not limited to, Revenue Cycle functions, call center functions, clinical outreach and indirect patient care support (communication management of letters and emails to patients). This role also ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations concerning Patient Access.

This role has significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders and other parties relative to the further development of patient access systems. Manages access across entities and is highly integrated with clinical partners. Is able to effect collaborative alliances and promote teamwork.

If you are located within Brookfield, WI you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. Candidate will be on 6 week rotation where one week will be onsite and the other 5 will be telecommute.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop staff and leaders on their team through formal and informal leadership training, cultivating the skills needed to ensure continued professional growth and act as a coach/mentor to leaders and staff that have a high potential for leadership in the Access areas
• Ensures that leaders under their areas will have the tools and training necessary to lead and develop staff level employees, including ensuring that all staff participate in initial and on-going training to maintain a required level of competency
• Maintains and enhances physician and patient relations, creating an environment conducive to efficient daily operations. This includes, but is not limited to working with departmental staff, providers, other departmental leaders, patients and payors, in obtaining and processing accurate demographic, financial, and health information
• Anticipates and responds to changes in the environment; leads team through ambiguity and uncertainty; develops ideas and makes recommendations for refinements; implements change in a positive, sensitive and forward-thinking manner. Manages processes in an efficient manner without sacrificing quality
• Develops and implements processes to collect clinical and financial data focused on cost and quality. Utilizes performance improvement techniques and quality/quantity standards to analyze data and workflow processes in order to streamline workflow design operations, improve quality and service, and revenue cycle performance; participates in multidisciplinary teams for process improvement and recommends solutions and solve complex problems and issues

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of healthcare operational experience 
• 2+ years of leadership experience 
• Experience acting as a change agent
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members, cross functional teams and customers
• Demonstrated solid verbal & written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of call center operational experience 
• Clinical experience e.g. surgery scheduling, OR, PACU or Surgeon’s Office, pre-procedure 
• EPIC experience – preferably OpTime 
• Demonstrated analytical skills
