Job Summary: Parks Retail Strategy Intern, Summer/Fall 2024 About the Role & Program  Disney Consumer Products, (DCP) brings beloved brands and franchises into the daily lives of families and fans through products. As the Parks Retail Strategy intern, you will be part of the development and implementation of retail strategies for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Signature Experiences. We build the strategies for all cross-category programs (Halloween, Christmas, etc.) as well as any site-specific programs (Attractions, events, etc). We can view breathtaking artwork and design taking shape throughout the product development cycle.  What You Will Do  Resolve cross-category product strategies supporting multiple Disney Franchises, Parks IP, and events. Work with cross-functional team members to implement product and marketing strategies. Help develop and build breakthrough strategies - identifying quarterly landscapes, marketing priorities, and big bet items. Maintain a variety of critical business platforms such as product set dates and weekly business reporting. Build relationships with a diverse group of partners internal to our organization (Planning, Location Strategy) as well as external Marketing, Operations)  Required Qualifications & Skills Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel Experience in retail Experience in marketing Experience collecting and analyzing data and reporting on results Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills Creative problem-solving and analytical skills Education  Currently enrolled undergraduate student in an accredited college/university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Merchandising, Business, Finance, Retail Management, or a related field.  Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship Must be at least 18 years of age. Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. Must possess unrestricted work authorization. Additional Information  Ability to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship  The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through January 2025 Ability to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) Monday - Friday, for the duration of the internship with possible evenings and weekends if necessary Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL area Must have reliable transportation to/from work Housing: We provide housing opportunities for Florida Based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities, for more information click here Recommendation ~ Print This Role Description: Strong candidates may be invited to complete a phone interview.
