What You’ll Be doing:
Monitor, analyze and interpret OSHA regulations
Plan and conduct regular safety and health audits
Develop and deliver safety and health training for plant personnel
Assess new products to enhance safety and health activities within the plants
Perform industrial hygiene monitoring, analyze and report results, and maintain a 5-year IH plan
Keep track of the company's safety data sheets (SDS) database
Ensure the accuracy and quality of required OSHA recordkeeping documents.
Provide assistance and oversight on the implementation of OSHA Process Safety Management and EPA Risk Management Plans
Contribute to reducing operational costs related to employee injuries and property damage
Monitor Company Safety Initiatives
Review and Revise Safety & Health Procedures
Foster positive relationships and communication with plant personnel and EHS staff
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor of Science degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience
Understand industrial or power plant safety and health programs
Familiarity with safety and health regulatory agencies and their requirements
Proficient in computer hardware/software, including the Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving
Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Ability to perform mathematical calculations required for evaluating and reporting company results
