Job description
Full time job opportunity for an experienced CAD Designer.
We are seeking a highly experienced CAD Design Engineer to join our Mechanical Electrical Integration Group near Bay City. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, with a focus on automotive products, especially in the realm of braking systems, chassis, suspension systems, and drivetrain components. While an engineering degree is preferred, we value extensive experience and expertise above all.
Responsibilities:
Develop and design mechanical components with a focus on braking products using CAD software.
Create high-quality CAD drawings with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to tight tolerances.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical components.
Utilize expert Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD+T) capabilities to produce accurate and reliable designs.
Collaborate with other engineers and departments to optimize designs for manufacturability and performance.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior CAD designers within the team.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in the automotive industry.
Expertise in GD+T with the ability to apply it effectively to intricate designs.
Proficiency in NX and Catia design software.
Extensive experience in designing components with a variety of casting, machining and plastic components.
Proven track record of quickly creating and delivering high-quality CAD drawings.
Familiarity with braking products is highly desirable.
Extensive experience with Product Life Cycle Management systems.
Key Skills:
Strong CAD design skills, with experience taking projects from concepts to production prints.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
