Director of Culture
Los Angeles
This leadership position unites creative brand expression with concrete execution of company
initiatives through managing select operations, events, and partnerships. It focuses on both
external and internal development of the Spare Room brand to further its position as a visionary
leader in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
Scope: The Spare Room
Essential Duties
● Advance and protect the vision, values, and mission of the Spare Room.
● Collaborate with ownership to drive brand initiatives that include, but are not limited to,
events, collaborations, and partnerships.
● Regularly engage outside of the outlet (such as attending events and socializing in the
creative and hospitality communities) as a representative of the Spare Room brand as a
means to further brand awareness and discover opportunities for collaboration.
● Identify and establish strategic and creative partnerships, events, and collaborations;
Focusing on goals to increase revenue or increase brand value-- and most often, but not
always, both at once.
● Manage entertainment bookings and invoicing
● Oversee the execution of events, collaborations, and partnerships on or off site.
● Facilitate timely and effective communication between teams, internal (food, bar,
support staff, social media, etc.), and external (clients, partners, etc.), to execute events
and activities.
● Communicate and collaborate with property team to ensure smooth and effective
co-brand initiatives
● Graphic design skills and familiarity with InDesign, Photoshop or Canva a plus
Salary Range $80k, Potential Bonuses, Paid Time Off, Employee Discounts, 401(k)
