Job description

The Test System Design Engineer will have a strong background in test system design and proficiency in LabVIEW to create the end-to-end development of electrical and hardware test solutions for custom functional test systems for things like electrical components or circuit boards. If you have a track record of excellence in writing requirements, test system development, and integration, along with a passion for technical innovation, we want to hear from you. Candidates must have a strong understanding of electrical Engineering and software. 

This is a full time onsite position based in the Northwest corner of the Twin Cities.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Comprehensive Test System Requirements
• Craft precise and detailed test system requirements, setting the foundation for project success.

Design Cutting-Edge Electrical/hardware automated testing solutions

• Create innovative electrical and software solutions that align seamlessly with the test system requirements.

Lead Design Review Meetings

• Take the helm or actively participate in design review meetings, ensuring the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Collaborate Across Engineering Disciplines

• Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure the overall system design is optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.

Provide Technical Leadership:

• Lead projects involving multiple engineers, defining the design approach, distributing tasks among the team, and sequencing detailed design activities to meet project timelines.

Support Sales Process:

• Leverage your technical expertise to enhance customer proposals and contribute to successful sales efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a test engineering environment.
• Expertise in engineering the hardware for test systems
• Automated functional test system development experience is a significant advantage.
• Proficient in selecting test hardware based on test specifications.
• Proficient in NI LabVIEW/Test Stand program development.
• Capable of analyzing and maintaining existing test solutions, ensuring long-term reliability and upgradability.
• Strong aptitude for designing complex hardware and software solutions for electronic circuitry.
