Job description
Our client is a pioneer in the integration of AI and robotics for warehouse automation and they are hiring a Staff Autonomy Engineer to take a key position in the evolution of their autonomous technology. The successful candidate will focus on transforming sensor data into intricate models, empowering the technology to adeptly navigate, manipulate objects, and execute crucial tasks in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities:
As the Staff Autonomy Engineer , you will be responsible to develop and sustain perception code for their autonomous technology for warehouses.
You will apply contemporary research in robotics, AI and computer vision to address intricate problems, prioritizing performance and reliability.
Utilize C++ and Python programming languages to craft and improve their autonomy system.
Assess and enhance existing system weaknesses for ongoing improvements.
Architect and construct vital components for a scalable autonomy system.
Produce high-quality code to guarantee the resilience and reliability of their systems.
Engage with multi-modal sensor data, encompassing RGB, stereo depth and LiDAR technologies.
Skillset:
PhD or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science or a related field.
At least six years of hands-on experience in the field of robotics engineering.
Proficiency in working with PyTorch.
Coding expertise in both C++ and Python.
Track record of training deep convolutional neural networks.
Familiarity with a diverse range of sensors and hardware.
ML Ops experience, including the ability to construct and manage contemporary deep learning pipelines is a bonus.
Exposure to the realms of warehousing or logistics.
