SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the VP, Risk Management, the Senior Claims Advocate is responsible for claim management service to clients including escalated claims issues, carrier relationships and auditing of the claim handling process as well as the overall agency loss financials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide outstanding senior claim advocacy services to clients as assigned.
Effectively communicate to internal agency staff, as needed, on risk management or complex coverage issues.
Oversee the commercial property and casualty losses for the agency.
Facilitate effective claim meetings with clients, prospects, and carriers in order to meet the needs of the clients.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with insurance carrier partners.
Keep an updated record with the required claim information.
Update internal staff on claim issues as necessary.
Assist clients and agency personnel with the development of claim reports analysis as needed.
Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid Florida state 6-20 license.
Education: Bachelor's Degree and/or professional designation such as CPCU, AIC, CIC, CRM, AU, AAI, ARM or proven insurance claims-related work experience preferred but not required.
5-8 years of commercial insurance in claims or underwriting.
Multi-line experience is desirable, including property, general liability, work comp, and auto/transportation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Strong customer service focus.
Ability to work in fast-paced, multitasking environment.
Ability to read and analyze diverse coverage forms and provide guidance to staff members.
Energetic, action oriented and ready to seize any opportunity.
Responds with a sense of urgency as required.
Excellent listening skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
