Job description

A Technical Sales specialist position designed to be a champion for Slurry products. This position will help to grow sales by providing technical support to sales channel to actively promote ITT Slurry products. Assists with the development and maintenance of all Slurry\Mining sales tools and is the owner of all training activities surrounding Mining processes and slurry products .

Responsible for Global Slurry Product Sales Growth to meet plan.

Responsible to develop 3 – 5 strategic mining customers.

 

AMOUNT

Total Slurry Products Sales Volume: Annually set by VP Marketing

 

Provide technical sales leadership and support to the Global sales org to maximize profitable sales growth (double digit growth per year) in the mining and minerals market segment. Assist factory-based Product Specialist when not travelling to support quotations support of inside sales teams

Establish and implement winning sales strategies for indentified projects and end users. These strategies are to contain detailed steps and objectives that are integral to a successful selling strategy

Effective interface and liason between the sales organization and the IP Marketing to ensure that product plans support market growth requirements

Maintain and monitor meaningful competitive information and knowledge base that can be used to improve the position of IP in the M&M market segment.

Actively participate in the M&M market team providing meaningful input and direction required for sustained success and growth
Expected travel – 50 to 60%

Conduct direct customer meetings to actively promote and present IP expertise and capabilities in M&M

Demonstrate differentiated technical product and process knowledge in a wide variety of mining processes and applications

Develop and present all materials used in Slurry Pump Schools including process and application as well as competition review and sales strategies

Assist Product Manager to develop and maintain sales tools used to support Slurry Products

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree – Engineering.

Experience: Requires 3 - 5 years direct mining experience

within pumps and/or valves. Helped grow accounts which are up and coming - growing relationships. Possess 5 or more years experience with large mining customers.

Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Excellent leadership and team building skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Product knowledge. Strong Customer focus. Results oriented, good computer skills. Strong analytical and technical ability. Experience in selling centrifugal pumps to mining users and/or engineering contractors.

Annual Salary Range is $88,500 to $132,700 plus benefits and incentive plans.
