In the capacity of Billing Analyst Bryan, TX, you assume a crucial and central role within our corporate accounting team. Your primary responsibility involves overseeing the meticulous and timely generation of invoices, coupled with the proactive and effective management of customer collections. This pivotal role underscores your significance in maintaining financial operations and fostering positive client relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain a deep understanding of general ledger revenue and cost of revenue accounts.
- Provide support to the Corporate Controller in updating relevant general ledger accounts.
- Familiarize yourself with the current operations system and its impact on revenue accounting processes.
- Identify and apply appropriate billing codes.
- Conduct a thorough review of completed projects for accuracy before initiating the invoice processing.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices by matching them with the operations system and customer purchase orders.
- Resolve any billing errors before customer invoicing.
- Maintain meticulous records of invoices and offer insightful revenue analysis.
- Conduct necessary audits of customer records.
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure timely collections.
- Keep track of collections through a detailed tracking log.
- Assist in audits by promptly providing accurate revenue accounting data.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and revenue accounting.
- Proficiency in GAAP and auditing standards.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley compliance and regulations is a plus.
