Job Summary
If you're interested in a Procurement SND /NA Buyer Resource job, then this is the best role for you. This role will work closely with the regional business stakeholders, Global Category Manager – Formulation Materials & Packaging & Global Commercial Contract managers to ensure that company’s supply network (vendors) is known, and supply will be secured while maintaining a cleansed ERP system.
Job Description
- Key contributor to vendor / co-formulants / packaging information for ~ 170 UVPs using a variety of tools and application (SND – Supply Network Design).
- Drives local RFQ process and negotiates local frame contracts on behalf of Category Managers as delegated, works with global team if synergies.
- Responsible for implementation of global category strategy at the local level (use of preferred suppliers and frame contracts, use of sourcing approach per category strategy); If proficient, expand to Global CCM Role for form materials & packaging.
- Contact vendors with RFQ and obtain vendor set up information and financial documents.
- Update pricing, payment terms, lead time, Incoterms (commercial terms).
- Align with internal BPS for updating commercial terms /pricing in ERP (D365).
- Develop & foster close relationships with stakeholders’ collaboration with the following stakeholders: Specification office, management of change, formulation technology, regulatory, supply chain planning, supply chain strategy, packaging experts.
- Update UVP list with any vendor / material changes.
- Escalate supply issues (New Vendors/ New Materials) to manager/ stakeholders.
- Provides country-specific market intelligence to mitigate supply risk, gain competitive advantage and make better business decisions.
Skills Required
- 3-5 years procurement experience in chemicals & packaging sourcing.
- Fully proficient in English required.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, including communication, interpersonal skills.
- Excellent data acquisition, analysis, interpretation, pivot table, VLOOKUP experience – Master of Data integration.
- Flexibility, integrity, and professional interactive skillset required.
- Demonstration of ability to lead in times of change with a strategic mindset, escalating issues if need be.
- Experience with procurement systems and familiarity with source to pay technical platforms (D365 preferred).
- Global team – willingness to accommodate hours for EMEA and APAC.
Education/Training/Certifications
- BA/BS degree required or equivalent work experience.
Additional Requirements
- Hybrid.
- Assignment length: 6 months to 1 year (FTE potential).
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour based on qualifications.
