Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs claims support and administrative activities for various disciplines.

Duties and Responsibilities

Performs support and administrative functions, including but not limited to preparing claims documents and information within established procedures and supports third party relationships and processes. Provides inbound and outbound phone support and responds to inquiries from internal and external customers, escalates as appropriate. Trains and mentors.

Performs system-related tasks; assists in resolving system problems. Greets, screens, and directs visitors to appropriate personnel. Assists with financial transactions within established procedures.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and two years of customer service experience in a professional setting, administrative, claims support or office experience, required.

Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience in the insurance industry preferred.

Proficient knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendar scheduling software required.

Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute and 90 net data entry keystrokes per minute preferred.

Completion of insurance designations or course work preferred.

Travel for business and training required.

Valid driver's license preferred.
