Job description
Forklift duties are assigned to this position. Any assigned forklift duties will first require taking and passing a forklift training course and obtaining a certificate. Forklift duties will include staging and/or stacking material neatly and safely, operating the forklift in a safe manner, filling the forklift with propane fuel or recharging electric units, and regularly checking the forklift fluid levels. • Use RF Scanner to identify locations to replenish. • Replenish dedicated locations for stock throughout warehouse • Cycle count and adjust inventory totals to reflect discrepancies and/or damage • Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts or combi-lifts to manipulate and move product. • Take inventory of all materials to be loaded and ensure that the product is accurately and safely staged and secured and appropriately shrink-wrapped or wrapped for protection. Any noticeable damage should be pulled aside and communicated per management’s direction to be resolved the next business day. • Determine appropriate loading configuration taking into account stop order, product mix and routing to ensure maximum cube utilization. • Load product onto trailer and safely and properly secure to prevent shifting during transport and to prohibit damage in transit.
