$5,000 relocation bonus available to qualified candidates. Join our Clinical Dietitian team at the St. Cloud Hospital. This is a Full-time position, working 64-80 hours every two weeks. Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. every 4th-6th weekend and 1-2 holidays per year.
JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Dietitian interacts as a member of the patient focused care team, uses the nutrition care process (nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring/evaluation) in determining nutrition interventions for patients across the continuum of care. Ensures the implementation of a collaborative plan of care for patients of all age. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the following:
- Complete clinical nutrition assessments and initiate appropriate nutrition interventions to promote the optimal nutritional status of patients in the hospital.
- Provide nutrition education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with other members of the health care team; may participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
- Mentor students during rotations as part of St. Cloud Hospital's Dietetic Internship Program.
- May assist with food service liaison duties, such as assuring therapeutic diet accuracy and educating nutrition services staff.
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's Degree Nutrition/Dietetics/Nutrition Science required.
Qualifications: - Registered Dietitian (Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. If not registered, employment is contingent upon passing the registration exam within three months of hire.
- A valid Minnesota driver's license, a driving record in good standing, and the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage may be required.
- Licensed Dietitian or Licensed Nutritionist in the State of Minnesota required if performing services in an outpatient or clinic setting.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- 1 year's clinical experience preferred.
Relocation assistance requirements: Must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away from St. Cloud and relocate to within 30 miles of it.
