Job description

We are a dynamic team in search of a dedicated and experienced FinOps Consultant to join us in our mission. Our ideal candidate possesses a strong background in finance, operations, and cloud computing, with a focus on optimizing costs and enhancing financial efficiency within cloud environments. As a FinOps Consultant, you will collaborate closely with clients, analyzing their cloud spending, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing strategies to achieve cost savings while upholding operational excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a solid grasp of AWS Cloud Financial Management, including cloud economics TCO & Cloud Optimization.
Possess a good understanding of the FinOps Lifecycle.
Utilize visualization tools like Apptio/Cloudability to create insightful visualizations.
Exhibit proficiency in all AWS Services, especially those related to cost analysis and optimization.
Utilize AWS Quicksight to generate meaningful insights and reports.
Implement Cost Optimization strategies in customer environments, realizing real-time benefits.
Identify gaps and provide automation recommendations to implement cost-saving measures.
Expertise in pricing metrics across various AWS services and ability to forecast billing accurately.
Proficient in using AWS pricing calculator, billing dashboard, and creating accurate estimates.
Utilize Cost Explorer to perform comprehensive cost analysis and create dashboards using AWS Quick Sight.
Create budgets within the AWS framework.
Propose cost optimization improvements such as Spot instances and Savings Plans.
Possess excellent knowledge of important metrics in FinOps.
Apply AWS-generated cost allocation tags, validate against billing & AWS Services.

Qualifications:
14-18 years of overall IT experience as a consultant.
Minimum 5 years of proven ability in AWS Cloud Computing performing FinOps role.
AWS Architect Certification is preferred.
Proficiency in FinOps tools such as Cloudability/Apptio.
Mandatory skill in AWS Quicksight.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position ranges between $147,300.00 - $165,800.00, depending on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
