Job Description Summary Fitness Equipment Attendants are responsible for maintaining and cleaning fitness equipment in all the fitness areas of the Wellbeing Center. This position requires a strong work ethic, a desire to be in an active role on their feet, a willingness to perform manual labor, and must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Equipment Attendants must maintain situational awareness of potential risks and enforce facility policies as needed. Job DescriptionEssential Functions:
Monitor, organize and clean designated fitness spaces
Maintain a safe and presentable atmosphere for participants
Uphold, enforce and clearly communicate facility rules and regulations; apply safe practices
Assist with set-ups and teardowns for various sports, student organizations, and events
Provide quality customer service to all individuals including faculty, staff and students
Positively represent Campus Recreation and Wake Forest University
Utilization of necessary technology for documentation purposes and work responsibilities
Perform all scheduled work wearing Campus Recreation uniform and name tag
Attend necessary staff meetings, required trainings and deep clean sessions
Ability to adhere to regular attendance of assigned shifts
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and one weekend per month
First Aid / CPR / AED Certification or willingness to become certified
Ability to multitask
Reliable, trustworthy and punctual
Ability to work a flexible schedule as demanded by the nature of the business, as shifts and schedules may vary throughout the year ( i.e. summer and academic year breaks - spring, fall, winter, etc.)
Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
