Job description

Ofinno is looking for experienced individuals to join our video compression team .  You’ll work in a collaborative culture, having the chance to learn how new technologies are developed, patented, and implemented in our research and development lab. This position has the option of being on-site in Reston, VA or remote (international or U.S.).

Job Description

You will be responsible for developing features that improve the efficiency of video compression technologies. You will possess knowledge of compression theory and international standard organizations. You will be a part of a creative, self-directed, and self-motivated team of researchers dedicated to inventing novel compression technologies. 

Qualifications

You have knowledge of advanced video compression technologies with the following experience: 

• Ph.D. degree related to video compression OR a Ph.D. degree with 2 years of video compression research and development experience. 
• A background in image/video processing and analysis and video compression.
• Experience in developing video codec technologies.
• Experience in MPEG standards – video (HEVC, VVC). 
• Experience patenting novel inventions. 

OR 

• Experience and contributions with video system standards such as AVC, HEVC, VVC.
