The Maintenance Manager (Planning, Scheduling, and Materials) at the Clear Lake, Texas site will be responsible for site-wide execution of the Maintenance plans, scheduling and material management as a part of and in compliance with the maintenance workflow (i.e., notification quality, notification prioritization, plan accuracy, schedule compliance) at a level that achieves maximum safe economical reliability of operating equipment and its related process systems.
Stewardship – Engages team on the right way
- Lead planning, scheduling and material groups within the Maintenance organization executing Safety, Quality, Reliability and Engagement (SQRE) within these areas of the maintenance workflow
- Develop, maintain and publish reliability and maintenance metrics to manage performance, improve efficiency and increase asset reliability
- Advance our innovation journey through applying digital tools such as TRACK, advanced analytics, etc.
- Drive continuous improvement through 5S principles, RCA completion, and corrective/preventative action resolution for systemic failures
- Create, maintain, train and audit workflows to deliver value through an optimized maintenance schedule and material accuracy
- Establish and maintain a professional, respectful and high performing Maintenance workforce continually striving for best in class Maintenance performance.
- Monitor and provide necessary training to the group to meet the expectation of a highly qualified skilled workforce achieving flawless first pass quality work.
- Maintain a qualified workforce adhering to appropriate policies and procedures. Work jointly with other Reliability and Maintenance leaders and other site leadership to ensure effective employee resource allocation.
Communication – Effective communication to key stakeholders
- Attend daily, weekly and monthly scheduled Maintenance meetings participating in causal factor determination for non-compliance assessments.
- Evaluate Maintenance execution measures of performance and act accordingly to drive continual improvement in execution.
- Audit and consult on Root Cause Failure Analyses of Reliability or Maintenance non-conformances and use results to make improvements to Maintenance execution, work processes and quality inspection systems.
- Participate in the Site Budget Process to ensure all justified Maintenance expenses are included.
- Provide clear and transparent communications to the maintenance organization, contract service providers, and other site leaders.
- Lead/mentor a strong Safety Program (i.e., behavioral observations, audits, training) and actively look for new ways to improve, role model, and be an active promoter of safe work habits.
- BS Degree or equivalent experience in chemical or refinery site Maintenance
- 10 years of combined leadership experience in areas of Engineering, Maintenance, or relevant Construction industries (Chemical and/or Refinery)
- An understanding of continuous process improvement tools and processes
- Familiar and/or knowledgeable with means of execution and performance tracking for Maintenance execution as shared by the SMRP.
- Experience in applying material planning philosophies in maintenance; continuous improvement experience
- Implement policies and work procedures to improve inventory management
- Utilize SAP for planning, material acquisition and scheduling of maintenance work orders to reduce parts delays and reduce downtown
- Coordinates with the production area’s Maintenance point of contacts to remove roadblocks towards executing the Maintenance schedule.
- Works with the Maintenance Learning Facilitator and Stewardship Leaders to develop the people and knowledge of the workforce.
- Works with the Maintenance Daily Execution Leader to drive flawless execution of the Maintenance schedule.
- Planning of emerging needs and non-routinely activities.
