Job description
We're hiring a Senior Relationship - Teller at the Fargo, ND Border Bank!
The Senior Relationship Specialist - Teller will oversee all aspects of day-to-day teller operations and customer experience. This position will serve as a liaison for the Retail Manager and Deposit Operations to facilitate excellence in teller operations and will have higher authority levels for check cashing and other approvals.
The Senior Relationship Specialist - Teller ensures an excellent customer experience to all branch customers. Additionally, they will be responsible for training on all teller operational duties, products and services and will set the example for relationship deepening by educating customers and prospects on our products and services, supporting the overall growth efforts of the bank. Responsibilities include:
- Perform paying and receiving functions for customers. This will include, but is not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, transfer requests and the sale of monetary instruments.
- Understand and comply with the related laws and compliance regulations that pertain to the job function. Examples include Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy, and Funds Availability. This includes also following bank-wide policies and procedures.
- Accuracy in cash counting, ensuring cash drawer is in balance, within assigned limits and is kept secure at all times along with monitoring the same for all other cash drawers.
- Responsible for the vault and vault cash, including balancing, ordering and maintaining appropriate branch limits.
- Responsible for ensuring the running of branch capture/proof and adhering to the appropriate daily schedule for completion.
- Maintain the site's ATM, including filling/balancing, and first-line maintenance needs. Escalate service requests as needed.
- Provide training and ongoing coaching on operational, regulatory, customer experience and relationship deepening related topics.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and follow up on any compliance issues within the department.
- Oversee and ensure the maintenance of branch equipment and report any issues to the Retail Manager and Deposit Operations Officer.
- Maintain adequate teller supplies for the branch.
- Demonstrate knowledge in all aspects of branch operations for the teller line and be able to coach and train on such aspects, including but not limited to those items listed above.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn additional functions to meet business and customer needs.
- Will be knowledgeable about and educate customers on additional banking products and services such as Checking and Savings Accounts, Certificates of Deposits, IRAs, Debit Cards and Electronic Banking. Always prioritize the customer's best interest in sales related activities.
- Create an exceptional customer experience from start to finish. Help customers make the most of their accounts by answering questions, completing maintenance and proactively offering solutions.
- Active involvement in community and civic organizations to represent the bank in the community.
Schedule:
Shifts are between 7:30am - 6:30pm Monday - Friday and 7:30am - 12:30pm rotating Saturdays
Paid Double Time for any hours worked on Saturdays!
Education and Requirements:
Prefer a high school degree or equivalent.
Prefer 3-5 years experience in a related position.
This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, communication skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.
Must have the dexterity to count money.
