New Haven, CT 06512 Jockey Truck Driver: Principal Responsibilities: - Safely move Jockey truck “Pup, Yard Hustler, Tractor”, and trailers within the yard including both empty and loaded material trailers
- Work with the Operations team to prioritize tasks
- Accurately report equipment statuses and productivity information to the shipping supervisor
- Perform Yard Audits
- Ensure the Jockey truck “Pup, Yard Hustler, Tractor”, and trailers are in safe working order to include pre/post-trip inspections
- Place wheel chock under trailers
- Check Jockey truck “Pup, Yard Hustler, Tractor” gauges, oil, water, and battery daily on trailers before and after parking, and departing
- Change trailer settings as needed
- Refuel truck fuel as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: - Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to effectively operate independently with minimal supervision
- Willing to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out simple instructions from oral instructions or written correspondence
- Must be able to work in a cold/hot environment
- Detail oriented and accurate
It’d be great if you also have: - High school diploma or equivalent
- CDL, or comparable work experience
- Ability to communicate via 2-way radio
- Truck dispatch experience, better practices

The work environment involves hazards, risks, or discomforts typical of working around with or around machinery with exposed moving parts, arrant chemicals, heavy equipment, extreme heights, or abusive or hostile clientele and patients. Exposure to disagreeable weather conditions and extreme levels of temperature, ventilation, lighting, and sound is normal. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
