Job description
LUR is hiring for a Test Technician for our Palo Alto location.
This is a permanent, long-term position with room to grow and develop your skillsets.
This position will not involve automated testing. In this role, the test tech will take probes, manually attach them to the product and then manually read a meter/ oscilloscope, etc.
The schedule for this shift is Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm.
Job Duties Include:
- Set up equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, variable power supplies, frequency counters and to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production systems in a safe manner
- Help with technical work and resolutions with engineers with production
- Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two plus years electronic/electrical testing and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology is preferred
- Understanding and experience with electrical and mechanical test and inspection equipment, including DVMs, oscilloscopes, calipers, micrometers, scales and other similar equipment
- Be able to understand schematics
- Soldering and circuit board experience
