Arkansas State University – Mountain Home seeks applicants for a part-time Skilled Tradesman. Minimum requirements include the formal education equivalent of a high school diploma, plus five years in one or more of the following skills: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry-framing and cabinetry, sheetrock finishing and painting, building maintenance, and basic construction. Part-time can work up to 29 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Builds or repairs wooden structures or their structured parts.
• Installs and replaces electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Assembles, installs, and repairs air, gas, and water systems and equipment.
• Repairs and maintains mechanical and automotive equipment. Including farm equipment and automotive vehicles.
• Provides a timely response to all service and preventative maintenance work requests as assigned.
• Performs seasonal grounds-keeping such as mowing and weeding.
• Assist other skilled tradesmen to complete projects/tasks.
• Provide quality workmanship and properly prioritize all service and preventative maintenance work requests as assigned.
• Complete and turn in all work orders and documentation.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
