Job description
As Creative Producer, you will be primarily responsible for the creative delivery and art direction of the development projects within our 3 existing LEGOLAND Resorts within the USA (Florida, California & New York).
Open to candidates working out of LEGOLAND CA or LEGOLAND FL. for this position!
The role, and therefore the required experience, includes the creative design development and art direction of new and/or refreshed Rides and Attractions , Theming, Architecture, Interiors, F&B, Retail, Area Development, etc… i.e. working across all aspects of the LEGOLAND Resorts, including the Theme Parks, Waterparks, Hotels/Accommodation, and LEGO-themed 2nd Gates. In depth knowledge of the guest experience and the creation and delivery of physical Theme Park Rides & Resort Attractions, is essential.
The majority of designs will be generated by the central MMM Creative team and you will be responsible for taking these creative designs and using your expertise in Resort Theme Park design & construction, site art direction and guest experience/show realization, working in partnership with the Project Teams, and deliver them as robust enhancements to the LEGOLAND Resorts. The Creative Producer must therefore be able to adopt the existing designs with passion, ensuring they’re delivered to the original intent.
However there will also be some projects needing development by the Creative Producer. Therefore the ability to generate ideas, communicate concepts, and self-generate design drawings is also required, in addition to on-site creative art direction through to completion.
Key objectives include: - Proactively support the creative development and delivery of Theme Park Rides, Attractions, F&B, Retail, Area Development, Theming, Accommodation, etc - I.E. covering all aspects of LEGOLAND Resort product and guest experience.
- Work with MMM teams, Project Managers, LEGO Merlin Partner team and external partners/contractors to ensure brand-accurate, cost-efficient, and durable product delivery.
- Engage in regular updates with Senior Creative Director/Creative Leads and other Merlin/Partner Directors, providing comprehensive documented updates and reports.
- Manage the creation and collation of detailed design, specification, and delivery files/documents to improve ease of reference for future rollouts.
- Creatively lead internal and external vendors to ensure quality of product, guest experience, and execution are delivered to highest standard possible.
- Ensure product follows agreed brief, brand guidelines, quality, budget, and schedule; report any variances and manage discussions with partners to agree on adjustments and exceptions.
- Develop effective relationships with Project Managers, Design Managers, operations team, LEGO Partnership team, and internal MMM teams; support other team members through clear communication, feedback, and collaboration
- Work to project budgets and schedules, proactively managing adjustments as necessary.
- Suggest and obtain agreement regarding alternative and additional design/delivery solutions that support value engineering and maximize productivity while preserving guest experience and creative intent.
- Review and input into contract creation in partnership with project management and finance teams.
- Manage LEGO approvals for detailed design, construction, and guest experience brand compliance via LEGO Merlin Partners team.
- Understand, communicate and protect LEGOLAND creative vision and brand guidelines with internal and external suppliers, partners, and project consultant network; ensure all team members are aware of guest experience priorities and understand LEGO brand guidelines.
- This role will require regular travel between the resorts with some travel to the UK, Denmark and existing LEGOLAND Resorts for brand and product training. Meetings will also be required across multiple global time zones, including interface with MMM Creative teams and suppliers in the UK and Europe.
- Experienced senior level Creative, with proven experience in; Resort Theme Park Design, Development and Delivery of Theme Park Rides and Attractions, Art Direction/Delivery, Specifications, Budgets & Schedules. Must also have experience in confidently leading, supporting and managing a team of direct reports.
- In depth knowledge/experience of Resort Theme Park design & delivery is essential; including Architecture, Theming, Rides, Shows, Facilities, Hotels, Waterparks, Storytelling, Audio Visual, Area development – i.e. all aspects of the Guest Experience within a Resort Theme Park.
- Thorough understanding of and ability to creatively direct a range of suppliers; including design partners, ride manufacturers and associated systems, playscape vendors, 3D theming, LEGO models & props, landscaping, AV and special effects, scripts, show control, as well as acting and writing talent.
- Experience of working with IPs.

Compensation between USD $100,000.00/Yr.-USD $110,000.00/Yr.
