ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Answer all incoming phone calls and direct accordingly.
- Dispatch live haul trucks in efficient, cost effective manner.
- Follow proper procedure in weighing live haul trucks to ensure compliance with all rules and laws.
- Manage proper paperwork. Keep live haul tickets in order.
- Maintain accurate zero tare sheets.
- Manage calls from drivers in the field to insure trucks arrive at the farms on time.
- Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors at shift change of current status and issues.
- Communicate any issues that arise with drivers, growers, and live haul manager.
- Turn in all scale tickets to accounting office at the end of work week.
- Scheduling live haul trucks on shift and anticipating when drivers are scheduled to return ensuring drivers are on time.
- Willing to work 9:30 am until end of shift hours
- Observe all company policies and procedures and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have clean driving record
- Must have NC CDL Class A license
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous live haul experience is a plus.
- Previous dispatching experience preferred.
STRONG MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add and subtract five digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
