Prepare/record and analyze balance sheet and profit and loss accounts. Prepare financial reports. Assist in monthly general ledger close. Prepare journal entries and determine accounting classifications. Conduct special projects and suggest recommendations. Coordinate accounting matters with other departments.
- Record, monitor and report on daily bank transactions: EFT’s, cash deposit activity and credit facility. Monitor wires and ACH transactions. Prepare bank reconciliations. Assist Treasury Manager with treasury duties, reporting, and Bank of America CashPro administration. Support Credit department as it relates to cash deposits, return checks/adjustments, posting and reporting issues.
- Month-end general ledger close.
- Prepare various state tax filings and financial reports. Monitor and calculate state use tax. Special projects as requested.
- General Ledger: prepare entries, research inquiries, reconcile & maintain account support schedules.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting, or equivelant experience
Training and/or Experience
- 2-3 years of previous experience
- Accounting degree.
- Relevant Accounting staff level experience.
- Treasury experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of financial software and on-line banking.
