Qualifications:

Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in natural resource management, project management or related OR BA/BS Degree in Natural Resources, Physical Sciences, or related

  • The incumbent for this agreement serves as a technical and historical subject matter expert on operational, testing, maintenance, and external coordination activities conducted at Ohmsett.
  • This work requires expert knowledge and understanding of research facility equipment operations and maintenance, and the management of associated historical files. Additionally, the incumbent should possess expert knowledge of the concepts, principles, practices, associated with oil spill contingency planning and response operations. Specifically, they should have extensive knowledge of the tactics and technologies used for mitigating oil spills and the research and development practices for investigating these subjects.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point

Duties:

Ensures the long and storied history of the Ohmsett facility is made available to the Public through diligent archive review, preparation, and disposition. Advises on critical improvements and execution of OSPD research initiatives and operation of Ohmsett.

  • Ohmsett Archive Management   70%
  • Ohmsett Website Development Coordination   20%
  • Oil Spill Preparedness Program Support   10%

  • Travel Requirements: May ask to travel to Mississippi Canyon 20 project site
  • Physical requirements: Work is primarily sedentary; however, the incumbent may have to sort, lift, and move file boxes which would include periods of walking, standing, and bending. Reasonable Accommodations may be made for enrollees with disabilities.
  • Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
