The Opportunity Reporting to the Head of Global Services Sourcing, they will lead a team of Sourcing Specialists and Category Managers (CMs) and will serve as the primary liaison with key internal marketing partners in defining category strategies and the execution of high complexity and high risk sourcing projects. This is a unique opportunity to lead a highly skilled team and build relationships across marketing organization to unify efforts with the purpose of taking marketing category management to the next level. Currently, Adobe's annualized global marketing, sales, and sponsorships spend is >$1B/year.
What you'll Do - Lead a team and marketing scope across the U.S., EMEA, and APAC
- Act as a trusted advisor and demonstrate ability to build strong relationships with leaders and senior internal partners for marketing
- Obtain the best total cost of ownership (TCO), business and commercial terms with tangible savings/value results through sourcing initiatives
- Mentor their teams as they actively lead major/strategic supplier performance initiatives aimed at optimizing financial and operational performance
- Jointly lead or lead cross-functional teams and solicit executive support to plan sourcing strategies and supplier management programs aligned with business objectives
- Pro-actively seek value, savings and efficiency opportunities across marketing category spend, negotiate and develop reporting documentation
- Preempts and prepares for marketplace movements and risk through category analysis
- Demonstrates marketing category expertise and guides their team with recommendations and options for consideration
- Lead commercial negotiations of large/high-risk agreements with strategic/critical suppliers to ensure Adobe receives the best value, associated cost savings, and assurance of favorable commercial terms
- Ensure proper risk mitigation through legal terms as well as robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are well thought through
- Drive process improvements, change initiatives, and strategic planning
- Strong negotiator, guiding and leading the business and the team to get the best result for Adobe
- Exceptional understanding and ability to extract actionable insights using tools and analytics skills
- Use, maintain, and innovate procurement tools and processes according to Global Procurement standards and expectations to speed/improve positive results/changes.
- Processes contracts according to Adobe Legal Playbook and policies
- Applies SRM techniques to ensure the supply base is providing the required level of services, including but not limited to SBRs, spend analytics, etc.
What you need to succeed - Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (focus in Business Management, Supply Chain, and/or International Management)
- Strategic Sourcing/Category Management experience required (Preference: 10+ years' experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Corporate Finance and/or Program Management in complex, global and hyper-growth environment)
- Prior management experience is preferred (ideally 5+ years)
- Ability to effectively build and lead global, cross-functional teams
- Requires strong knowledge of procurement practices and techniques
- High attention to detail and the exercise of sound judgment and decision-making
- Exceptional written and verbal communications, time management and interpersonal skills
- Must be willing to train and educate team and users in new processes, policies, and procedures or technologies
- Exemplify excellent level of emotional intelligence (EQ) in positively influencing various stakeholders and improving business dynamics both within Global Procurement and broadly across Adobe; evidence of continuous positive customer feedback
- Keenly aware of personal strengths and weaknesses; great at receiving, applying, and giving constructive feedback
- Requires ability to read, interpret contract specifications within the Procurement process
- Requires Purchasing systems and order management software knowledge
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $107,900 -- $232,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
