A Purchasing Coordinator job in Livonia, MI is currently accepting applications. This is a contract position with our key client. In this role, you will place purchase orders, requests for quotes (RFQs), perform data analysis and other activities associated with overseeing the sourcing of new products. To be considered for this role, you will have a B.S. Degree, along with at least one year of relevant experience, coming from the automotive industry preferred.
Purchasing Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
- Place purchase orders, requests for quotes (RFQs)
- Perform data analysis and other activities associated with overseeing the sourcing of new products.
- Process purchase orders and ensure that supplier is meeting delivery dates.
- Lead, manage and execute data collection, validation, analysis, and negotiation activities for the assigned commodities.
Purchasing Coordinator Job Requirements:
- B.S. Degree
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with data analytics.
- Able to work independently with a proactive, ownership mindset.
- Ability to collect and analyze data.
- Understanding of automotive industry quality standards.
- Coordination, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Technical capability and manufacturing knowledge.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft.
- Familiarity purchasing raw materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.)
