Our client is a family-owned, full-service trucking company and
they are looking for a CDL Driving Instructor to join their team! Your day-to-day as a CDL Driving Instructor:
- Lead CDL Class A training in various settings (classroom, range, road)
- Monitor and hold students accountable for progress, tracking classroom and range hours
- Present confidently using provided curriculum, emphasizing DOT laws and trip planning
- Schedule Class A exams, coordinate truck assignments, and assign driver mentors
- Demonstrate flexibility in teaching approaches and mentor students post-graduation
- Conduct road tests as licensed in Smith System
Your skills and experience:
- 1-2 years of CDL A Driving experience is required
- High school diploma or GED is required
- DMV Driver Training Instructor License with Endorsements A/B, or willing to obtain
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to navigate challenges and maintain composure in high-pressure situations
