The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

We’re seeking a BSA Specialist to perform independent Enhanced Due Diligence reviews and on high-risk entities to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the US Patriot Act. You will ensure the ongoing review of the assigned portfolio is conducted according to Bank policy and identify emerging risk issues.

70% – You will maintain the enhanced due diligence program, and conduct and document ongoing transaction reviews and monitoring of high-risk clients. Review customer accounts for appropriate risk, analyze risk, identify issues, and validate information from bank systems and against third party resources in order to recommend the retention or termination of accounts. Ensure ongoing record keeping and preparation of reporting to management. Complete alerts or monitoring assignments within CIU timeframes and in accordance with unit quality standards for completion and documentation.

20% – Maintain solid working relationships with line of business to obtain and validate client information.

10% – Ensure appropriate data integrity on underlying bank systems supporting the BSA / AML .

Responsibilities

- Perform a variety of SAR Reviews, exit/retention decisions/documentation, negative news reviews, and other responsibilities.

- Review customer accounts, analyze risk, identify issues, and validate the information from bank systems and against third party resources.

- Ensure ongoing record keeping and preparation of reporting to management is kept current.

- Complete file reviews within timeframes.

- Maintain effective working relationships with line of business to obtain and validate client information.

- Quality and integrity of research and analysis completed and documented via Know Your Customer forms or within various databases

- Identify emerging risk issues and recommend course of action

Experience

- 1 – 3 years of experience in BSA risk analysis or equivalent, with related experience in other areas of banking

- Excellent organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal skills

- Excellent analytical skills

- Knowledge of various bank systems preferred – Knowledge of BSA / AML laws and regulations relative to money laundering and terrorist financing

- Bachelor’s degree and CAMS certificate or other professional designation preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $65k-$80k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
