Job description

Full and Part Time Adult Psychiatrists

 

The new home of Belmont, is a state of the art facility designed with our patient’s comfort in mind, offering a remarkable healing environment. This beautiful new space is equipped with unique spaces to support our innovative programming as well as numerous safety components to ensure that patients receive the very best care. If you are dedicated to working with adolescents and adults for an organization that provides a full continuum of care, Belmont Behavioral Health System (BBHS) is the right place for you.

 

The 1st psychiatrist will be an Adolescent/Adult Psychiatrist to provide medical and health services for all inpatients of Belmont, by coordinating medication administration, evaluations and mental health assessments. Although it is not a requirement, a preference will be considered for adult psychiatrists who are interested in seeing some older adolescents as well as Child & Adolescents psychiatrists interested in seeing some adult patients as needed. We have a competitive base salary in addition to coverage and productivity bonuses. Conducts mental health evaluations, meets regularly with other staff to review patient progress and maintains required patient documentation including medication records, forms, health information and incident reports. Provides psychiatric consultation when requested. Provides individual therapy, family therapy and or medication management, as needed for patients under his/her care. Leads the multidisciplinary treatment team. 

 

The 2nd psychiatrist will be a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who provides medical and health services for all inpatients of the Philadelphia Children's Crisis Response Center at Belmont. Full Time Child and/or Adolescent Psychiatrist in Philadelphia. The Crisis unit is an 8 bed unit and carries ADC of 5.

 

We have a competitive base salary in addition to coverage and productivity bonuses. We are the largest independent teaching facility affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Einstein Medical Center, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and offer teaching opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows.

 

We are located in Philadelphia allowing for both professional and educational growth with its many universities and colleges along with lifestyle activities from hiking and biking in Fairmont Park to skiing in the Poconos. Our location affords city or suburban living with quick access to Washington DC, New York City and New Jersey and Delaware beaches.

Compensation range$340,000 - $385,000/year

*Total compensation may vary based on additional services, including call coverage, administrative services, performance bonus, etc. Compensation may also vary based on productivity after initial guarantee period.

 

Weekday, evening, weekends, and night shifts available. Part time will be considered.
