Job description
Role Description
This role is responsible for the quality of Company products as required by all applicable codes and specifications. Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh raw materials or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment. May be assigned to do other jobs including assisting other employees; and shall be responsible for maintaining a clean place to work, may need to perform NDE to meet code and/or specification requirements. This is a 2nd shift position (3:00pm-1:30am).
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- ASNT-TC-1A Level II Bubble Leak Testing
- ASNT-TC-1A Level II Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)
- ASNT-TC-1A Level II Visual Inspection with Dimensional Inspection (Weld & Dimensional)
- ASNT-TC-1A Level II Magnetic Particle (MT)
- ASNT-TC-1A Level II Radiography Testing (RT)
- AWS CWI
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
- Must be organized and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to identify and respond quickly to correct conditions that affect Employee Safety
- Knowledge of Excel and Word
- Microsoft Outlook
Other Physical Requirements:
- Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Depth Perception)
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety eye wear, gloves, steel toe shoes, hearing protection)
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing Environment with temperatures extremes, hazards from things like lasers or welding arc, or other environmental hazards.
