Job description
Title: Procurement Supervisor
Location: Rockville, MD (onsite)
Salary Range: 75k-90k/yr
The Procurement Supervisor will be responsible for procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract formulation for various materials and services. The role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and local regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for the relevant procurement work for the US Team according to business needs, including production and laboratory materials and fixed asset procurement, administrative/office supplies and food catering.
- Responsible for the execution, recording, and document retention of specific processes in the procurement process, including sourcing, price comparison, negotiation, contract formulation, ordering, payment and delivery tracking.
- Responsible for supplier management, supplier relationship maintenance, and supplier performance evaluation
- Collaborate with finance and legal to complete contract and information collection.
- Cooperate with QA to complete material supplier evaluation, changes control, abnormal events, and related deviation investigations.
- Adhere to procurement professional ethics and code of conduct, ensure commercial compliance, and fully comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies of local region.
- The business processes include demand management, procurement sourcing, order execution, financial payment, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Ensure that the procurement process complies with the requirements of the company's Procurement System and supervise the compliance of various departments in the procurement process.
- According to company policies and process requirements, conduct systematic and document management of purchased items/materials to ensure timely and accurate information.
- Ensure material sourcing, price comparison, negotiation, contract signing, ordering, delivery and payment tracking.
- Manage production material supplier, maintain supplier relationship,
- Provide feedback and collaborate with suppliers to improve performance.
- Collaborate and coordinate closely with the US Supply Chain and Manufacturing functions on developing the material demand forecast based on production schedules.
- Cooperate with QA to complete material supplier evaluation, related changes, abnormal events and deviation investigations.
- Comply with the company's Environmental Health and Safety related procedures and Information Security procedures. Adhere to company's information asset control and circulation policies to protect the company's interests, ensuring that information is not obstructed or improperly disclosed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2+ years of purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience. Experience in biopharmaceutical or other similar manufacturing environments are preferred.
- Hard working and carefully, sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit.
- Familiarity with the principles of GMP is highly desired.
- Skilled with Microsoft Office suite of products, such as Excel & Word, electronic procurement and inventory management systems
- Ambitious and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment, able to adjust workload based on changing priorities.
