Job description
*Allegria is looking for a full time Life Enrichment Coordinator to join
their Independent Living team*
*MUST have 2 years Life Enrichment/Activities experience with
senior population *
• Plan, coordinate and execute core programs, events, activities and
services to meet the diverse needs and interests of the Allegria Village
community.
• Develop programs, events, and activities that inspire high levels of
community engagement, including entertainment, workshops, lectures, classes
and seminars
. • Create and execute engaging activities and events. Fitness, fun,
crafty, silly, and more. Activities and events range from small budget,
impromptu fun, to well planned and coordinated community events such as the
Annual Resident Holiday Party.
• Discover and identify new programs, events or services.
• Connect with the Allegria Village community. Bring new and existing
residents together, develop relationships, and discover interests, talents,
skills, and aspirations. Inspire residents to become involved in
programming and in the planning of events
. • Provide organizational support for all activities and events
. • Track participation in programming and events when practical.
• Communicate!
➢ Create flyers to promote programs, events, activities and
services. Write brief articles for community bulletins and newsletters.
➢ Be prepared to informally discuss upcoming programs, events,
activities and services on Allegria Village’s closed-circuit community
television.
➢ Update all necessary calendars in order to communicate current
programs that are being offered and programs for which support is needed.
➢ Respond to resident phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
• When necessary, take on ad hoc projects, including collaborating with
and/or assisting colleagues on the Resident Life Team.
• Importantly, embrace Allegria Village’s values in all daily contacts.
Greet one another (by name whenever possible), show respect, smile, and
make eye contact. Allegria Village is indeed a manifestly friendly and
welcoming community!
• Provide guidance, direction, and coaching of volunteers.
• Flexibility of schedule as some evenings and weekends *are required. *
