Columbia Cottage in Collegeville, PA is looking to hire an experienced Medication Technician/ Caregiver to help improve the quality of life for the residents in our care. This position starts at a competitive wage of $18.90/hour , depending on CNA certification (not required) and prior experience. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

• Prepares medications for Residents
• Assists Residents in taking medications, as per physician order
• Monitors for effectiveness and untoward effects of medications, and provides education to Residents.
• Obtains blood sugars, vital signs and other bio measurements as ordered
• Motivates, encourages and provides positive feedback to the Residents when assisting with medications
• Follows established policies and procedures for record-keeping on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and any associated forms related to assisting the Resident with medications
• Provides hands-on care to Residents

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MED TECH/ CAREGIVER

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medication Technician certification required
• Diabetes training required
• CPR/ First Aid preferred

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A MED TECH/ CAREGIVER

The following shift is available for this assisted living position:

• Part-time; night shift (11:00pm-7:30am)

All positions, unless otherwise indicated, have an every other weekend and every other holiday obligation

Shift Dif ferentials: Evening: $1.00, Night: $2.00
