Job description
We are hiring a Speech Language Pathologist for a School District. This position performs speech therapy services for the Early Childhood Intervention Program. Responsible for evaluations, Individual Family Service Plan development, direct service delivery, documentation and third-party payor billing
Responsibilities:
- Provides speech therapy evaluations/assessments as requested ECI referrals.
- Participates in the development of the Individual Family Service Plan as requested for ECI referrals or children enrolled in the ECI program.
- Provides speech therapy services in the child’s natural environment as determined by the IFSP committee.
- Provides speech therapy reassessment/reevaluation as appropriate for children enrolled in the ECI program.
- Provides service coordination/follow- up services, which are directly linked to speech therapy needs; to include assistive technology equipment and materials.
- Speech therapy services are provided using a hybrid approach utilizing telehealth or in person visits at discretion of parent.
- Responsible for maintaining acceptable % delivery of services as determined by the Performance Zone Expectations.
- Documents all services delivered, ensures accurate billing and time study information.
- Responsible to ensure that their caseload is accurate and updated daily on the Excel share spreadsheet.
- Responsible to complete all documentation on our Electronic Management System and ensure documentation is submitted daily.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Education
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology with a valid license to practice in the State of Texas
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience. Pediatric experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
